Dr. Hayelom Kahsay the Director General of Tigray Health Research Institute in the opening speech stated that, because of the war in Tigray, erupted the whole health care system especially the laboratory systems were totally collapsed. After the peace agreement, we are working collaboratively with Ethiopian Public Health Institute, CDC, Eliminate TB, ICAP Ethiopia and other governmental and Non governmental Institutions.
Last year performance and this year plan were presented by Gebremichale G/her ( The head of the laboratory ) and the participants were mentioned that, Inorder to solve the problems it needs to work hand in hand and different NGO who works in health are expected to focus on Laboratory support.
At last , Mekelle Hospital were awarded as best performing of the last year. In addition CDC , USAID Eliminate TB & ICAP Ethiopia get certificate for their great achievement in laboratory support.
